1 This is an appeal from an action wherein Barbara Geneva Eberwein and Anna May Paden sued the Mid-Continent Pipe Line Company to recover damages in the sum of $18,000 for alleged permanent damages to their lands by reason of the destruction of plaintiffs water supply caused by crude oil that escaped from the defendants pipe line which extended across the plaintiffs land. A jury trial approximately two years after the alleged pollution resulted in a verdict for plaintiffs against the defendant in the sum of $8,500. The trial court approved the verdict, rendered judgment thereon, and overruled defendants motion for new trial, resulting in this appeal.
